These tutorials are made specifically for my clients and follow the workflow I use for commissioned projects. They are not general-purpose Unity or VRChat guides, and may not apply to work delivered by other creators. Follow any instructions included with your delivery, and use Copy link to share a specific tutorial.
Learn how to install an update in your existing Unity avatar project. This walkthrough covers importing the update package and explains when an additional setup step may be needed. Follow any project-specific instructions provided with your update.
Start here when you receive a complete Unity avatar project from me. This walkthrough shows you how to extract the full ZIP archive, add the project folder to VRChat Creator Companion (VCC) using Add Existing Project, and open it in Unity. Your delivered project is already configured, so you can open it as supplied without creating a new project or merging files.
Follow the upload process for an avatar project delivered by me: open the avatar’s scene, sign in to the VRChat SDK, complete the avatar details, review the alerts, and build and publish. The video also explains when to ask for help with an unfamiliar warning.
Learn how to reduce texture memory with Thry’s Avatar VRAM Calculator, included in your project. This walkthrough covers finding the largest textures, lowering their resolution gradually, checking textures used by material swaps, and comparing the avatar’s appearance before and after each change. It finishes by checking the result and uploading again.
Choose which outfits are included when you upload your delivered avatar. This walkthrough shows how to exclude outfits from a build, save different outfit sets as separate scenes, and give each version its own avatar ID so uploads do not overwrite one another. It also explains the additional limitations to consider for Quest versions.
